I find that most guys who have a hard time getting dates with women are either the kind of guy who doesn’t try hard enough… or they end up trying way too hard to get a woman to feel attracted to them. While it is bad to not try at all to impress a woman or to try to meet women, trying too hard can be just as bad. When you try too hard and you come across as the kind of guy who will do and say anything to make a woman like you, most of the time you’ll find that it actually makes it less likely that a woman will feel attracted to you.
What happens when you try too hard to get a woman to like you and why does that work against you if you are trying to get dates with women?
Well, the most obvious one is that it can make you look desperate. And we all know that coming across as being desperate to get a date is not a good thing. That just happens to be one of the more common turn offs that women list when they list the things that will make them not want to date a guy, even if he happens to be nice.
The other thing that happens is that you can make it seem like you are not really in her league, like she is too good for you. You don’t want to do that. Women don’t usually try to date outside of their league and if that is the impression that she gets… chances are good that you are NOT going to be able to land a date with her. Now, don’t go thinking that it means that you can’t date a woman who is out of your league.
You can.
You just can’t make her aware of the fact that you are out of her league. You have to act like you are on the same level as she is. It’s funny that it works out that way, but it DOES.
So, if you are finding it hard to attract women and you know that you are taking action and that you are putting in an effort to go and meet women… you might want to consider the possibility that you are trying too hard and that is the reason why you are not having the success that you want to have.
